The Engineering Manager is responsible for the efficient and timely execution of all engineering and design work required to complete projects on time and on budget. The Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers with varied backgrounds in mechanical, electrical, controls, and process disciplines.


  • Lead engineering participation in projects from concept all the way through commissioning and sign off at customer site adhering to stage gate procedures adopted by the company
  • Assign and monitor resources to complete project deliverables according to schedules developed by the project manager.
  • Regularly measure and monitor the progress of projects to identify variances from the plan and make needed corrections in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure quality design work by providing engineering guidance and best practices to direct reports.
  • Assist the leadership team with identifying and executing research and development projects that will drive growth and a competitive advantage for the company.
  • Support technical selling process by participating in customer meetings to help identify solutions to customer problems.
  • At point of design release, ensure operations team receives all information needed to complete a system build on time and on budget.
  • Support projects until completion, including commissioning of equipment.
  • Assist in identifying change orders outside of the original contract of Sales and Project Management.
  • Provides mentorship and coaching for team members.
  • Maintains employee morale, productive workforce, and company expectations.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement in which the engineering team constantly learns and evolves from the accumulation of all team members’ experience.
  • Supervises staff, including hiring, scheduling, and assigning work, reviewing performance, and recommends salary increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, or terminations.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required (mechanical engineering preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant product design experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of engineering management experience.
  • Minimum of two years of Project management experience
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural and cross-functional team and environment.
  • Ability to review and critique mechanical and electrical drawing packages.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
  • High proficiency with AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge: advanced knowledge of the subject matter. The work calls for sufficient comprehension of the subject area to solve unusual as well as common work problems, to be able to advise on technical matters, and to serve as a resource on the subject for others in the organization.
